The variety of operating systems used to be quite limited. While there was Linux for all the tech-savvy (and a bit nerdy) users, you generally had two operating systems to choose between for casual and professional use: macOS and Windows. However, enter ChromeOS in 2011 -- everything changed as it introduced another contender with an emphasis on ease-of-use and simplicity.
